Sangiran holds an extraordinary story of human evolution, buried for thousands of years. Yet for many, prehistoric history often feels distant, static, and reduced to silent fossils behind glass displays. Our challenge was to reawaken these ancient echoes, turning them into something that could not only be seen, but also felt, enjoyed, and celebrated together.

Through the Festival of Light at Sangiran, we offered a new approach. Merging light art, thematic installations, and the vibrant energy of night filled with music and interaction. From grand glowing arches and a softly lit moon sculpture to colorful straw-crafted prehistoric creatures, each element was designed to transform history into an emotional and shared experience. Beneath a starlit sky, Sangiran’s story no longer stood silent, it shimmered, pulsed, and came alive with the present.
